Course Content
Who is this course for?
As in the Stage 2 (Instructor) course, this course requires a commitment to personal practice, and the study of applied anatomy, teaching (pedagogy), the Yoga tradition and the classical Yoga texts.
When you complete the Stage 2 Instructor course you can study to be a full Teacher. (A Practical Instructor (Stage 1) can enter a Stage 4 course after taking a short supplementary course).
At the conclusion of this second year, you get the diploma of full Teacher in your chosen style: Hatha Yoga.
Completion of the Stage II Teacher courses provides access to the study of upper level postgraduate advanced courses.
Objective of the Course
The purpose of these courses is to complete the training begun in the Instructors Course, developing further all themes both practical and theoretical. You know the basics of anatomy and sequencing to give your students an intelligent and effective yoga class, but now you will work with your teachers to develop your own voice and master your teaching skills. The course work in this program is 300 hours and will qualify graduates to register with the Yoga Alliance as Yoga teachers with the RYT-500 level.
The prerequisite for entering a Level II Teacher course is a Level 1 Instructors course of 200 training hours. This is in keeping with AIPYS criteria and the Yoga Alliance RYT-200.

Our training program meets currently accepted international requirements as a 300 hour teacher training course.
- 100 hours training techniques
- 60 hours teaching methodology
- 20 hours anatomy and physiology
- 40 hours Yoga Philosophy and ethics
- 85 hours practicum
Course Themes
- Develop a one-on-one relationship with your teachers, who will guide you throughout the program and beyond.
- Observe your teachers in action – instructing, sequencing, adjusting and inspiring.
- Cultivate your teaching skills as you assist your teachers in class, developing your ability to see bodies, offering variations and giving hands-on adjustments.
- Participate in small group meetings with your teachers, where you present questions and issues related to teaching
- Hands-on adjustments, observing bodies, modifications
- Practice teaching
- How to teach vinyasas and advanced asanas
- Injury assessment and how to handle it
- Restorative & therapeutic yoga
- Meditation, yoga tradition and philosophy
- Working with beginners and pregnant women

Certification
Certification is obtained after passing the theoretical and practical assessments, resulting in a Practice of Hatha Yoga Teacher diploma.
Students may choose to resit the exams at one of the AIPYS centers, if necessary to complete their diploma requirements.
In the case of not passing the exams, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.
