Instructor Grade

Levels 1 & 2 - Instructor

The curriculum of each course is designed as part of a series of stages that you pass through as you keep developing your abilities to higher and higher standards. However, you need to recognize that each and everyone of these courses requires a commitment to daily practice.

Instructor Training

Within this category we have two possible courses of study:

a model of our training stages

Practical Instructor (Level 1)

This course is meant for those who only have a practical interest. The training focuses on all aspects of the practice of the asanas, how to teach (pedagogy) and anatomy. This course does not include philosophy, the Yoga tradition or the classical texts. These are available in Stage 2 courses.

Upon completion of the course you will receive a diploma of Practical Instructor in the style that you chose: Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga and/or meditation.

Instructor (Level 2)

This course includes all that is studied in Stage 1 (asanas, anatomy, and pedagogy) as well as the classical Yoga tradition, its philosophy and its principal texts.

Upon completion of the Level 2 Instructor course you will have access to the upper level Teacher courses of your chosen style. (A Level 1 Practical Instructor can access the study of an upper level Teacher course only after taking an additional training).

After completion of the course you will receive a diploma of Instructor in the style that you chose: Ashtanga Vinyasa or Hatha Yoga.

Instructor Styles:

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Levels 1 & 2)

These courses are directed to training you in the techniques and teachings of Ashtanga Vinyasa, based on the teachings of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, the creator of this style. These courses are physically demanding but they will prepare you to teach this style with grace.

Hatha Yoga (Levels 1 & 2)

These courses are inspired by the teachings of Swami Sivananda. We deepen your yogic practices by providing you a range of variations, substitutions and modifications that are anatomically adjusted. Furthermore, we dedicate time, with precise instructions, for you to improve your teaching skills.

Iyengar Yoga* (Level 2)

Technique, pedagogy and adaptation are the main subjects of these courses, as based on teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar creator of this style. This coure requires a high degree of commitment to the practice, which is very detailed and precise.

Students will reach a high degree of practical preparation that will allow them to teach others this method.

Yoga Pilates (Level 2)

Joseph Pilates' system claims that physical development includes both a balanced body and mind. Care, precision and breathing are some of the key focal points in this method. Yoga-Pilates increases muscle strength (without bulking up) and flexibility. It corrects posture, and provides mental and physical stability while it relaxes and inspires.

Students in this course will learn to design a personalized exercise program tailored to the physical needs of each practitioner, understanding the limits and differences in each student. Requirements: you must have practiced this method before.

Meditation Instructor (Level 2)

Meditation is a practice that is intended to still our inner world and create harmony within. This course teaches you how to train your students to meditate.

Students in this course will learn how to teach and practice meditation. You are already a Yoga teacher and want to teach meditation or you are simply interested in deepening your meditation practice.

Requirements: You must have practiced mediation before and have at least completed a Yoga instructor course.
